September Meeting minutes reviewed and approved by Breanna Guse, Seconded by Nicole Thaxton

Treasurer’s Report:

  • Stephanie Autry went over the Treasurer report. The Walk-a-thon Income ends up coming to $30,482.90. Sarah Boyer will submit her receipts for her expenses.

  • Stephanie went through the Principal requests, and also stated the table that was requested at the end of the 2023 school year, has now been paid.

  • The first grade classes also had their field trip to Tanner’s Apple Orchard, so that cost came out as well.

  • This was approved by Breanna Guse, and seconded by Nicole Thaxton.

Teacher Requests:

  • There was one Teacher Request from Mrs. Steiner for a new sensory table for her office. It will be $80, and the request was approved by the majority.

Old Business:

  • It was discussed about paying for soda for the teachers, nothing decided for now.

  • For Popcorn Friday’s, we have sponsors for all months except April & May

  • The Book Fair is with Literati, and will be planned for the 1st week of March, 2025

  • The Carnival will be on January 31st, and they already have the Balloon artist booked, and Stephanie is working on booking an inflatable.

  • It was discussed about a reminder for parents to see if their employer matches their donation for the walk-a-thon.

New Business:

  • Fun on the Run has an inflatable to purchase. It is a double slide, which is what the school usually uses, and it would be $2,500 for a used one.

  • Lettie Brown was invited to participate in the Holiday Skate this year. It will be on December 3rd, 2025. We will need 5 volunteers from 5:30- 8:30pm. A QR code for advance tickets, for any night will be sent out. For advanced tickets, 50% of the sale will go directly to us. Day of ticket sales get split between the 10 school participants. Theme Polar Express- attendees will be encouraged to wear their Christmas PJs.

  • The school will get the tree down, to start decorating for Christmas

  • There will be a catalog from Literati sent out this year for Christmas, and 10% of those sales will come back to the school. They will be sending this at the end of November.

  • Spirit Wear: will be with Ultimate Stitch. Order form will go out the first part of November, and then delivery will be after Thanksgiving.

  • After School Clubs: the email for April Harmon was wrong. The correct email is: [email protected]. Hopefully a new Pokemon Club will be coming soon. April Harmon is working with the Chamber for additional volunteers for the programs/clubs.

  • Fast Food/Vendor Sales: La Gondola will be November 6th and 7th. You must have the flier with you, for it to count towards the school. Since Potter’s Alley is no longer doing fundraisers, Alicia will check with a bowling place in Washington, to see if they would donate back. Other places like Monicals, Sucre, Scrolls, Canvas Connections, Morton Roller Rink, Morton Cinemas, Leaves n’ Beans, etc. were brought up as well to speak with.

  • The Hospitality Committee will do 3 days for Christmas in December. One of those days will have the Leaves n’ Beans coffee cart. Alicia and Sarah will work with Mrs. Waterfield on dates.

Lynlee Baker (4G) is the winner for this month’s meeting.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:45 pm
