Dear Parents,
You will find on the following document the results of the 2009-2010 Parent Survey. I would like to say how much our staff appreciates everyone who took the time to give us feedback about our school. The results have been shared with the school staff and with parents at our January PTO meeting. This information is used to help us provide a better service to our Brown family, as well as, confirm the great things are happening at Lettie Brown. If you have questions about the survey or would like to share any more information please do not hesitate to call the school at 266-5309.
Thanks for all you do to support our great school!
Sincerely,
Bob Bardwell, Principal

The Illinois Learning & Technology Purchasing Program (ILTPP) has established a Microsoft purchasing program for all Illinois K-12 teachers, staff and students. These are licenses that students, faculty and staff buy on their own and will personally own forever. In the past, this group would have to pay $499 for Office Professional in local stores. Through this purchasing program, the same product costs less than $90. Parents and staff can literally save hundreds of dollars and obtain life long learning tools. All pricing and orders can be found at: http://www.cdwg.com/academic/store
From the menu on the site, choose K-12, United States, Illinois, Morton Community Unit School District 709, to see the software available.
District 709 Facilities Study
Morton District 709 is currently conducting a Facilities Study to create a short-term and long-term plan for the school buildings. A core committee of members of the Morton and Groveland communities will be looking at options for the future and then presenting those ideas to the board of education. This process will continue through the 2009 calendar year. The administration and the board of education would also like the community to be aware of information that has been gathered regarding the condition of the facilities. Please look at the information provided on the main page of the District 709 Web site - www.morton709.org under the "latest news" on the left side. That information includes an overview of each school in the district. Each school has been evaluated by a team of architects and construction professionals to determine the ratings that are listed. A Frequently asked Questions list has also been compiled. More information will be added to the Web site as it becomes available, so continue to look for updates. Also, information will be aired on Channel 20 late in November. If you have any questions about the Facilities Study, please contact Carol Jankowski, Communication Coordinator, via e-mail - Carol.Jankowski@morton709.org
