Mrs. Teri Horner Honored Throughout
the School Year
In loving memory of Mrs. Teri Horner and her dedication to children through Reading Recovery, the Lettie Brown students read 7,566 books throughout the 2012-2013 school year. Each time a student read a book, a butterfly was filled out and hung in the hallway. This brightened our school and kept Mrs. Horner in our hearts!

Pages of our books fluttering like wings of a butterfly,
Our imagination takes flight, what mystery do you spy?

PTO Highlights
The Volunteer Appreciation Tea is Wednesday, May 22nd. We will have refreshments served in the teacher's lounge from 8:15am-9:15am. If you volunteered in any way, please join us and let us pamper you on our last day of school.

The Box Tops website now offers a store to shop in for school supplies. Teachers are able to create a "Wish List" of items they could use for their classroom. Parents can then purchase these items as teacher gifts. For all purchases Box Tops will then give 2% back to the school. (Click on the Earn Tab and then My Class Essentials)
